Hello.
My name is Mark Cruz, and I'm a multidisciplinary creative working as an art director and graphic designer. Two things have remained consistent in my life: design and music. I've been a record collector for as long as I can remember, and it was music that ignited my passion for design. I was fascinated by Reid Miles, the graphic designer behind the iconic Blue Note Records album covers from the late 1950s to the 1960s. Everything about his compositions, from type to photography, resonated with me, and I've been hooked ever since. Although design has been my chosen career, music has never been too far behind. I currently produce and release music under the moniker QSTN and have been featured on a few videos and ad campaigns.
Since then, I've worked professionally for numerous industry leaders in action sports and design agencies. I specialize in branding and identity, art direction, product design, and packaging. A few brands I'm proud to have worked with include Nixon, Disney, Lucasfilm, Pendleton, New Balance, Shure and Warner Music Group. Running my own design consultancy for over a decade has allowed me to exercise various skill sets acquired through the years, working with clients both big and small, to develop creative brand solutions. My goal is to create engaging, memorable work and build a strong connection with your audience.
